Ground report: Evening (Barb and Bob Larsen) “From the nest this evening, the babies must have just had a feeding, since only one of them was still up. Mom took a trip off the nest, skimmed the ponds and flew over to Roger’s Grove, returning later with a stick. She and Dad had a little dance with it. Fred was pretty active, flying back and forth over the pond, this evening.”

Ground report: 20:03 (Jenny Johnson) “A fishy came in about 40 minutes ago. Babies finished it. Then Mom skimmed and went for a stick. One baby was helping Mom and Dad arrange it. Cute! Looked like a second one wanted to help too.”

Chicks help with sticks!

The cam was lost on May 28 during a thunderstorm. Though the direct nest view can’t be restored until after the Ospreys migrate, Boulder County has plans underway to install a new cam that will give an external view of the nest and its inhabitants and carry us through the rest of the season.
